中国马兰核实验基地，原子弹实验进入到关键阶段。为了解除实验部队的后顾之忧，大批科技、保障人员的家属、儿女从全国不同城市进入马兰。初到基地的孩子们，对这里的一切都充满了好奇，他们在学习、生活、玩耍、游戏中渐渐感受着大人们的艰难困苦，以童真童趣对遇到的各类人或事进行着诠释，演绎了一个个令人忍俊不禁、感人至深的故事。直到1964年10月16日原子弹爆炸成功，他们才知道自己的父辈们是在何等艰苦的条件和恶劣的环境中，实现了中国的第一个强国梦——中国梦。重走当年路，如今已是花甲之年的“马兰的孩子们”感慨万千。
抗日战争时期，日军少佐谷野彰和军械专家池田用活人试验定点爆破雷，村民应德在实验中存活，后加入八路军。得知谷野再入龙头沟，应德用两把坏枪拼成了一把怪枪，用锤头引发机关，射杀了谷野。他的造枪才能被八路军师长发现，把他安排进修械所。在修械所成长为兵工厂期间，应德和神枪手柳宝、留洋回来的兵工专家杨墨、女游击队长姚芳、教会医院医生江燕等人从误解争执到默契合作，互相砥砺，造出枪榴筒、定时雷等武器，而同时，谷野彰的叔父谷野正雄，成立了别动队，多次进攻兵工厂，应德等人面临一次次苦战。
《The Fix》由Marcia Clark﹑Elizabeth Craft及Sara Fain共同执笔，剧中讲述女主Maya Travis（Robin Tunney）是位女检察官，在8年前她输了谋杀案的庭审并成为传媒的批评对象，因此她离开了洛杉矶隐居在俄勒冈州的农村。然而8年后这位凶手再一次行凶，这次Maya究竟该蹈矩循规，还是不惜一切下把他送进牢狱？ 虽然案中剧情是虚构的，不过灵感是来自Marcia Clark本人，过去她身为检察官时输得最为著名的就是O.J. Simpson一案。
