被名门“帝都大学”中途录用的宣传负责人神崎真（松坂桃李饰），之前的职业是电视台的帅哥播音员。因为他的圆滑和知名度，以及媒体出身的经历，学生时代的恩师校长（松重丰饰）亲自把他招来。然而，帝都大学却接连曝出丑闻和问题。著名教授的研究不正之风疑惑、校内研讨会预告“恐怖袭击”、研究设施中流出外来生物。根据大学执行部的意向，为了避开校内外的批评，真含泪努力思考换种说法，自圆其说。但是，被学校里其他毛病多多的人牵着鼻子走，事态慢慢地就会深陷泥潭。然后，以与告发不正当行为的非正规年轻研究者美纪（铃木杏饰）相遇为契机，真内心的声音开始抬头——“好像有点奇怪吧？”。不久，不仅仅是大学内部的大危机到来了。
