本剧讲述的是一个浪漫而凄美的爱情故事。佐藤彩（27岁，泷本美织饰）是毫无特长的平凡的女职员。在一次聚会上她阴错阳差地撞上了日本国民级日用品制造商万丽堂的年轻社长一条庆（25岁，岐洲匠饰）。平时高冷的一条庆破天荒地对佐藤彩表示出了王子般的温柔，但由于之前一段还没有断的恋情，他并没能和佐藤彩正式建立男女关系。而善良的佐藤彩也由于天生单纯善良的性格，默默地保持着不远不近的距离祝福着一条庆。日后两人得知在第一次阴错阳差的相遇后，佐藤彩肚中就已经怀上了一条庆的孩子，随着剧情发展，这次意外的怀孕将给两位主人公，以及周围的人带去了喜悦，盼望，纠结，以及刻骨铭心的痛苦。
