继第一季好评之后，《玛利亚狂热》第二季也来袭，于2011年4月7日开播，并先于3月31日播出的Niconico动画直播节目《电波研究社》上，将先行披露歌曲PV的一部分。承接第一部的剧情，“百合女”宫前加奈子继续与同寝“伪娘”祇堂鞠也，以及同校的各色美少女们开演更加脸红心跳流鼻血的爱情喜剧！

三年前与重案六组有过交锋的一暴力团伙重新浮出水面，但是这次由它衍生的新团伙却更加凶残。在误解中走马上任的陶非临时成为六组代理组长，已调任分局预审处工作的季洁也回到了六组，升任刑侦支队副支队长的郑一民，现身为分局法制处处长的杨震--六组的新老成员们重新收集证剧，刑警们以血的代价捍卫了正义、尊严、荣誉，破获了形形色色的重案，最终也将这个犯罪团伙一网打尽，以实际行动实践着警察的誓言。
本剧中的每个角色都有其独特的个性，同时也体现出3到6岁低幼年龄段孩子们的共性特征：“创造”、“快乐”、“分享”。主人公“杏仁儿”是一只快乐的小鹿，她喜欢交朋友，也乐于帮助朋友解决困难， “小小杏仁儿，动动脑筋”是她常挂在嘴边的话。她还有一群个性鲜明的小伙伴，爱说“扣叽扣叽”的小松鼠果果、活力十足调皮好动的小狗闪电、喜欢漂亮蝴蝶结的长耳兔桃桃、乐天派青蛙呱豆以及慢吞吞又害羞的小狮子毛毛。她们一起玩耍，共同攻克日常生活中的小烦恼，简直就是幼儿园生活的一个缩影。很多小朋友都能在这些角色身上找到自己的影子，获得一种强烈的身份认同。
