The concept of MDT diagnosis and treatment mode can be traced back to the 1960s and 1970s. In 1965, the Northern California Children's Development Center put forward a plan to develop a multidisciplinary diagnosis and consultation clinic for mentally retarded children, and stressed the importance of multidisciplinary cooperation in the clinic. In 1993, Britain applied the multidisciplinary cooperation model to community health care work, and proposed that medical work should change from the original one-way service model provided by a single doctor to a patient-centered multidisciplinary cooperation medical model.
