本剧共聚集了30种不同职业、不同年龄、不同身份的人们。 他们在都市中凭靠着热情对抗孤独，用特有的坚持战胜困难，用真诚的经历讲述着平凡的自己。 每一集都是一个独立温情的小故事，以单元形式呈现，分别呈现出成长、励志、爱情、青春、亲情等种种人间百态、嬉笑怒骂。 颇为有趣的是，在剧情结构的安排上，上一集的配角，正是下一集的主角。每个故事如套锁一般环环相扣，正如我们的生活一般，在别人的故事里，也许你是配角，但在自己的故事里，你就是唯一的主角。 人世间那么大，总在一些不起眼的角落有那么一群人为不值得的生活而挣扎着——离家千里找不到工作的毕业生、活在质疑和自卑之中的美妆博主、因为差评而失去希望的外卖小哥。
紧随其后的是一位年轻的计算机程序员（马利克），他患有社交焦虑症，并通过黑客行为结成了一个神秘的无政府主义者。
